Review:

Well this was a royal let down for me. It was one I was looking forward to only to have it fall flat in many ways.

Dee Dee (Park) is a woman from Queens who used to be in the military. I'm not really sure how her being in the military is important as it has literally zero reason to be in this story line. Anyway, she is from Queens and sometimes has an accent but most times she doesn't.🤷

She meets Colin after he runs into her and destroys her pastries.🍩 It just so happens that Colin is a prince 🤴, although he doesn't tell Dee Dee, and she bullies him into playing the piano🎹 at a Christmas thing she is responsible for. They both received piano ornaments from their grandparents and of course fall "madly" in love after 3 minutes of knowing each other. She finds out he is a prince and acts like a baby. Seriously...would you treat him like garbage just because he was scared to tell you he is royalty? Um...no. Anyway, she comes to her senses, they meet at the tree and confess their love after he basically gives up his claim to the throne for a woman he barely knows.

So this movie isn't good. Julian Morris is the only thing that is good in this movie. He just exudes royalty. He talks, looks and walks like a prince. Pretty much anyone would be a fool not to fall for his rugged good looks and piano playing ability. There was zero chemistry with Megan Park, who tries really hard to have a Queens accents for like 1/4 of the movie and then just gives up. They have no spark and there is really no story to back up why Prince Colin would even ponder the thought of giving up his right to the throne.

There are some good chuckle moments in this movie. Some out of just pure stupidity though. When Whitbey (Michael Hanrahan) asks for a car to take him to Queens he is told to take the subway, I laughed pretty hard with Hanrahan's quick chuckle and then "oh...you're serious." That was so funny. The delivery was spot on.

Another funny moment was when the grandma indicated that she knew he was a prince all along and her family were shocked and asked "you knew." Her reply was fantastic..."I use the google." Loved this.

Oh and I know that these Christmas movies are filmed in the summer mostly and that the snowmen that the characters make are all styrofoam...but when you can literally see the snowman move...yeah. Enough said. ☃

So honestly this movie was not good. It wasn't the worst of this Christmas season but I would suggest you pass on this one.
