Review:

Not going to lie. I had high hopes for this one. I really like Tyler Hynes and was hoping we would have a dramatic winner here but I honestly didn't like it. I know I'm going to have a lot of people disagree but we all have our own interests and I found this one boring. For me the leads were great and they had good chemistry, but the story-line just didn't do it. I wasn't interested in the mystery of finding Madeline at all. There were alot of holes and issues that instead took away from them movie and frankly took away from the performances of the leads. It was a story that I found boring and that could have been avoided by two things: two grown ups talking about a half heard conversation instead of making assumptions, and a man writing down a persons phone number AND name on a piece of paper.

First let me just talk about a few things that I enjoyed about the movie. Holland Roden is beautiful and she had an amazing chemistry with Tyler Hynes. I would love to see them star opposite in a different movie. One that had a little more intrigue and story to it just so I can see them perform with a stronger story. That kiss at the end was exceptional. Tyler Hynes certainly knows how to kiss the girl and never disappoints. Lastly it was so amazing to see Steve Bacic grace the Hallmark movie scene again. I really love him and the emotion at the end of the movie from him was great . I did tear up a little bit when it all came together and he expressed his grief and anguish over the accident.

Now I'm not going to go into everything that I didn't like about the movie. I really just wanted to highlight the biggest thing for me. Hallmark always has to have a silly misunderstanding but honestly it's getting old. Here we have to endure this misunderstanding for almost the entire movie instead of the last 5 minutes. Josh who hears only half of a conversation and then assumes something and storms off for 3 years. Geez. How about people have regular conversations to work out these assumptions. Think of the pain that it would have saved by simply asking a question. Not only does it happen the first time 3 years prior, but when Josh finally tells her that he overhead her conversation 3 years ago the misunderstanding still isn't resolved! Again we have both parties still assuming that the other person knows the whole situation and they go off broken-hearted. Good grief. They are not teenagers and are supposed to be grown adults. Just have a conversation and save us all the pain of watching the silliness unfold on screen. This should have been resolved way before.

For the ending we all knew that somehow all of these stories were going to be intertwined and in the last few minutes it was all laid out albeit it was rushed and a little to coincidental. But to think the guy had two phone numbers and didn't write a name beside either number??? Really? The concept of the movie had promise however I just don't think the script managed to really tell a good story. I wasn't interested in the mystery of finding Madeline at all. Despite some good on screen chemistry and solid lead performances, that alone couldn't save the movie for me. This is one that I wouldn't watch again.
