Review:

I admit I was looking forward to this as it involved orcas. Well the orca's didn't let me down, but the movie sure did.

This movie was not bad but it certainly wasn't good either. It was OK. The overall idea/concept of the movie is good but the delivery wasn't. Scenery was beautiful and the shots of the orcas both above and below water were lovely. What lacked was a good female lead that didn't irritate me. Now perhaps I was having an off day but nevertheless, it wasn't a favourite of mine.

Rhiannon Fish was not a favourite of mine in this at all. She was actually quite annoying. Too quirky and quite frankly she came across as stupid. Not your ideal leading lady role. She was supposed to be a PhD student but she lacked any real substance. She squealed when getting her feet wet in the cold water. She childishly tried to cover herself with a map to avoid getting splashed. She was over the top and I didn't like it at all.

Now Benjamin Hollingsworth is a fav of mine. I don't think I've ever seen him in something that I didn't like his character. He was laid back, smooth and extremely pleasant. Not the most stand out role for him but he still delivered a quality performance.

The chemistry between the leads I will say was overall good. I liked their onscreen dynamic. What I didn't like was that Rhiannon's character was still in a relationship and yet she was still flirting with him and he with her. I'm not a fan of this and would much prefer that she had broken up with the guy prior to doing all the flirting.

Speaking of her ex...seriously? As soon as he showed her the office that they were going to share, she should have got rid of him. She was already a bit unsure about whether she should move in with the guy and when she saw that net level for him was a shared office?? No thank you.

Honestly the movie was meh. I wouldn't recommend watching it nor would I ever wath it again.
