Review:

Well, well, well. What do we have here? Two brand new leads in a Hallmark movie...check. A totally different plot line for a Hallmark movie...check. This was definitely a surprise and a nice change.

I have to admit that I was intrigued by this movie. I am a Downton Abbey fan and I got those vibes watching the trailer. I admit the premise of the movie was unique and far fetched, but I liked it. It was slow at times however I was really intrigued with learning about the ins and outs of butling. I never really thought about it before but I guess there would have to be some sort of schooling to become a butler and I enjoyed attending school with all of them in this movie. Very unique plot and it worked for me.

With this new movie we had two brand new to Hallmark leads in Corey Cott (Henry) and Stacey Farber (Emma). Let me just say that this was such a nice change. They were both solid in their roles and had great on screen chemistry with each other.

Emma (Stacey Farber) was so passionate and determined that she knew what she wanted in life right from when she was little. She was determined to succeed and after a few hiccups in the beginning managed to work through her challenges and secure her dream job in Scotland. Farber was poised, quirky and lovable as Emma and I am looking forward to seeing her in more Hallmark movies in the future.

Enter Corey Cott (Henry). That boy is now on my watch list. I loved everything about him. His looks, charm, swagger. I was sold the minute he entered through that door and collided with Emma. Can I ask...am I the only one that thinks this guy has a resemblance to Hugh Jackman? I don't know what it was but I just kept thinking that he looked like a younger Hugh Jackman.

The first part of the movie was a tad slow for me and I had a hard time believing that Emma would really have that much trouble at school. The girl had been studying her whole life and to all of a sudden just crumble at everything she did, I found that far fetched. That aside the movie picked up when Emma and Henry started working together and you could see the relationship progress. I liked how they spent time together, worked well together and they were very supportive of each other. I liked how Emma realized that her dream job was no longer her dream and how she found Henry walking up the road to find her. I did like knowing that they ended up working together albeit in what workplace would they be making out like that? That was a bit much.

Anyway this movie was a welcome change to the typical movie plots and had some brand new solid lead actors. It's not a movie I would put on my watch again list however it was definitely worth watching at least once.
