Review:

So Christmas In Toyland is not by any means a standout movie. I haven't really seen Vanessa Lengies in many movies but she was quite enjoyable. I liked how her character was really going against the corporate idea of store closures and trying to save the brick and mortar store.

What stood out in this movie for me was Jesse Hutch. This was one of his better roles for me. He was charming, loving and so great with children. Not to mention you can't help but smile when he flashes that big smile of his. I thought he was great and he had fantastic chemistry with Vanessa Lengies.

I also like how there wasn't too much animosity with the characters. She outlined very quickly that she was there to help and they worked together. That was a win for me as so often you have someone trying to close the other persons business and they just don't work together to accomplish a goal. It was a nice change.

There was some plot points that were ridiculous like how is one store a flagship store? Didn't you close all the others and just keep one? One isn't a flagship store. Also why would you move that store to a brand new place like Vegas. If you were bleeding money from lack of sales...why would you spend money to open a brand new store. Why wouldn't you keep your profitable store where it was? Not to mention, didn't you look at the financials regularly? The exec asked Charlie (Lengies) to pull financials for 3 years! Wouldn't you know you were bleeding money well before this? And on the financial reports it showed declines in every quarter. LOL. So you made more money in the summer months and had no increase during the Christmas season? I'd say you should have caught on to this well before now.

Anyway, it was a fun movie with solid lead performances and great chemistry. Worth a watch.
