Review:
This movie was spectacular. By far one of the best movies that Hallmark has released in 2022. The cast, the plot, the performances, the chemistry...everything was bang on. Definitely worth watching.
*Benjamin Ayres - I love Benjamin Ayres and I have to say that this, by far, is my favourite role to date. He was charming, funny, loving, protective. His relationship with his little "brother" was so rich and lovely. I loved how they both were able to look to each other and teach each other things about life and love.
*Erica Durance (Emma) - Erica's performance of a mother who is torn between protecting her daughter while trying to let her be independent was phenomenal. The tears, the hesitancy, everything was played perfectly in her performance. The relationship between her and her own mother was wonderful as well. The raw emotion of fear when she thought her daughter was missing was heartbreaking. Tears were flowing for sure at my house.
*Lily D. Moore & David DeSanctis - Such wonderful performances by Lily Moore (Kendall) and David DeSanctis (Brad). I loved how honest and open they were with each other and with others that were not as accepting. Lily's performance when she was anxious when her client cancelled was so amazing. David's emotion when he thought he was responsible for Lily going missing...both were just wonderful. And can I say..I liked Brad's tshirts!
*Karen Kruper - Kruper's role as the grandmother was impeccable. She was grounded and was a happy medium between her daughter and her granddaughter. She was understanding and accepting of Emma's fear but also offered support and encouragement to her which ultimately helped her daughter see that Kendall was capable of moving forward on her own with Brad.
*Chemistry - Can I just point out that the chemistry between Benjamin Ayres and Erica Durance was hot right from the beginning of this movie. They have such a dynamic on screen together. Loved everything about their relationship
