Review: As it stands right now, Mrs. Miracle Christmas is the best Christmas movie so far in 2021. Hands down. This movie was fantastic. I cannot even begin to do this movie justice in my review by I will provide some highlights.
Can we talk about the cast? Every single one of these actors/actresses were so well cast. It was like the role was made for each one of them. They had such an amazing dynamic when around each other and they just fit well together as a group. They all had outstanding performance.
Steve Lund. Wow. I have to say this is probably Steve Lund's best Hallmark movie role that I have ever seen him in. He was fantastic. He showed such emotion and heartbreak, love, tenderness, mixed in with humour. He was the real deal in this movie. And can we talk about his interaction with the little girl and the tea party? Oh my goodness was he wonderful. The emotion he showed numerous times in this movie was raw. The tear coming down his cheek while talking to his wife on the front porch. The tears welling in his eyes when thinking about the foster child they came so close to adopting and then couldn't. His desire to be a father. His love for his wife and just wanted to help her. Just everything about him in the role was fantastic.
Paula Shaw. What can I say about her. I really like her and have seen her in many Hallmark movies and have never been disappointed. She did not disappoint in this one either. She is such a great comedic actress and she offered up some great humour in this one as well. She had such a great dynamic and relationship with Caroline Rhea in this movie. They played off of each other well.
Caroline Rhea was outstanding and just plain funny. Even the way she moved in this movie was thought out and funny. Her little purse and taking out so many different things was reminiscent of Mary Poppins. The scene when her charge calls to complain about her was one of the best scenes in this movie. Her back and forth delivery of lines at the doorway was honestly laugh out loud material.
Honestly you will not be disappointed in this movie. It has it all and will definitely be on my list to watch again.
