Review:

Honestly this movie was just middle of the pack for 2022 movies. It kind of just fell flat. Lack of story line, minimal chemistry and a few jokes. There were times when I thought...hey it's ok but then it went back to being boring. So not an overly terrible movie...just ok.

The good:

Natalie Hall - Natalie Hall was pleasant enough in the movie albeit she didn't have much to cling on to here. I know she is capable of so much more (ex. Midnight at the Magnolia) but just didn't get that here. Her outfits were great and she did have a few moments where she was plain funny. And boy can she sing! Would have liked to see that a bit more.

Comedy - The minimal comedy there was to be had in the movie was good for a chuckle or two. When Natalie Hall mimicked the bird to disguise it's presence to the building manager that was funny. What was a bit much was when Peter Mooney's character used the exact same bit when disguising the dogs bark. You got to know when and when not to reuse a bit. It was funny the first time, but not the second.

Doorman - Honestly I liked this guy. He didn't have a large role in the movie but I appreciated it. I won't ruin the end but it was predictable but still worth it.

The not so good:

Plot: She wins an apartment in a lottery and then moves in and unexpectedly has to take care of a parrot? All the while she lives right across the hall from a guy who just happens to be hiding the largest dog known to man kind? So the fellow pet owners work together to solve the mystery of who owns the parrot all the while trying to dodge the most nosy and invasive building manager. Meanwhile they somehow manage to fall in love and of course their pets get along swimmingly. This plot was weak and plain boring. I wasn't interested in the "mystery" and it really wasn't a mystery at all. The original owner died...the end.

Building Manager: the building manager was just plain nosy and intrusive. She had nothing better to do then to poke her nose into everyone's business.

Chemistry: I didn't real feel alot of romantic chemistry between the leads. They spent their time "looking" for the owner of the pet but I didn't feel any real romance blooming during the course of this "adventure." I felt more of a neighbor/friend vibe.

Overall a forgettable movie that you would be ok to miss.
