So March 19 brought a brand new Hallmark premiere to Canada called "Love On Fire" starring Tegan Moss and Devon Alexander. What was interesting about this premiere was that it was not released in the USA. As such, I will not be able to do a full review as I do not want to spoil the movie for any of you who will be watching this one at a later time when it is released in the US. I will however give my high level overview and thoughts so you can get an idea of what kind of movie you are in for.

I really enjoyed "Love On Fire." It was so nice to have different leads and I love how Hallmark seems to be adding more people to their roster. It's a nice change. Tegan Moss and Devon Alexander were just wonderful as Gia and Jim. Not to mention that the supporting cast included Christopher Russell and Loretta Marsh! Yes "When Calls The Heart" fans, Flo from WCTH (Loretta Marsh) was in this movie and was wonderful. She was a welcome surprise as I didn't even know she was going to be in the movie.

The movie follows Gia (Moss) who moves to a new neighbourhood and befriends her next door neighbour single dad and firefighter Jim (Alexander). They bond over their love for cooking. I can't give too much away however I will say that I enjoyed the movie and the friendships that develop throughout the movie. The film does tackle themes that include love, loss, grief, friendship, helping others and moving on. The cast worked well together and I really enjoyed the story that they told. Let me just say that Jim has a beautiful backyard! The chemistry between Gia and Jim was good and very believable. An overall good movie that is definitely worth a watch.
