Review:

Zero chemistry and a weak plot made for a terrible movie. I did not enjoy this movie at all. It was boring and I lost interest pretty quickly.

Plot

The plot had some promise before I started watching it and then it fell flat. I thought it would be great as we have someone coming to her mother's soon to be launched Inn located in Switzerland! There she meets the single father manager and falls in love. This should have worked except for me it didn't.

First, was this really filmed in Switzerland? I don't really know as I didn't research it but I highly doubt it. Most films shot on location will show the beauty and splendor of the place. This movie didn't show me much other than an inn and snow. Something that could have been shot in my home town really.

I didn't mind the fact that Alex hadn't been home in ages and was going to support the launch of her mother's new Inn in Switzerland. That part was interesting as was her brother and his family. What I didn't care for at all was the introduction of her best friend into the mix. She hadn't seen her friend in years because her friend is now dating her ex-boyfriend and living together! Really? What kind of friend stoops so low to get together with your ex. I would never have done that with an ex of one of my friends. Not only that though...her mother was in cahoots with her BF's mom to get them to reconcile and pushing them to spend time together. No thanks. AND...if there needs to be more, the ex comes to the inn to stay too AND...they are engaged. Not to mention that everyone knew and didn't tell ALEX! Man...these friends and family members are the worst. I hated every part of this plot.

The getting to know you and spending time with Liam was a bore to me and I had no interest in it whatsoever. I actually started doing other things while watching the movie as it lost my interest to be honest. This movie was forgettable and I really don't remember what, if any, was the conflict at the end before they announced that they were in love with each other.

Chemistry & Performances

There was zero chemistry between Rozon and Sweetin in this movie. I did not like them or their story at all. It felt stiff and forced. After seeing Sweetin last week in Hallmark's "A Cozy Christmas Inn," I was expecting more and didn't get it. I didn't like her or her character. Rozon lacked any real emotion in his role and seem uncomfortable.

Final Thoughts

You can skip this one. There was zero chemistry between the leads and the plot was less than ideal. I am not sure why anyone would think it was a good idea to have the lead go home for Christmas only to have to spend the entire time with her supposed best friend who is now dating and eventually engaged to her ex-boyfriend. Never mind having her mother and family forcing a reconciliation with the BF. Talk about awkward. It was not a good plot and I would never watch this movie again.
