Rating: ⭐⭐⭐

Review:

I am on the fence with this movie. Molly (Broda) is a waitress who is trying to get a job, on her own merit, with a large PR firm that is the rival to her PR firm owner father. She has serious daddy issues and her dad appears to want to control everything she does. Not sure if that's just her opinion or if that is the reality as it was never really clear in the movie. Nevertheless, she meets Aiden (Smadu) who is a doe eyed man who is gaga over Molly and orders the same sandwich from her shop regularly just to see her. He ends up pursuing her and using his money to help her by fixing her car. The two are drawn to each other and Molly is adamant that he doesn't interfere with her getting a job which he ultimately does albeit not as much as she makes it seem to be. She throws him aside but then quickly changes her mind and they live happily ever after.

So let's start out first by saying that Eden Broda (Molly) is absolutely beautiful. She has beautiful hair, solid acting chops and the camera loves her. I have never seen her before but she had such an ease with this role and she was pleasant to watch. Zach Smadu was ok however he often looked like he was surprised or even scared when he was with Molly. Perhaps he was shocked that she would even give him the time of day? Not sure but it was creepy at some points. They really didn't have a ton of chemistry and I think that Molly was way to apologetic with him at the end in taking him back and forgiving him. He told her he wouldn't interfere and he did. She said she didn't like her father doing it and yet he goes and does the same thing and she forgives his broken word within seconds. Didn't buy that.

Not really sure about the father in this movie. He came across as over bearing albeit that's what we saw from Molly's perspective. He appeared very controlling and I can't believe he would just hijack her dinner when she was on a date. I really didn't understand the relationship of him with his daughter. And her hatred of him was such an issue for the majority of the movie to all of a sudden just call your dad, ask for help and he just do a 180 and become a good guy and accept that she didn't want to work for him? Talk about an unrealistic resolution to tie up a movie.

The movie was ok. If you can get over some of the minor things like I mentioned above it isn't a bad movie. It was one that I liked watching but I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it again.

Did you watch this movie? Tell me your thoughts in the comments.
