Review:

This was without a doubt one of the best movies to air on Hallmark in 2022 so far. This was a gem and should not be missed.

The scenery, the acting, the story lines, the emotion...everything just worked.

First off the story lines were deep. This movie tackled real life problems and did it so well. We had Joss (Mumford) who suffers from anxiety attacks. Something that so many people struggle with and is not really spoken about much in movies. And then we also tackled dyslexia, heartbreak, abandonment and grief. The story lines were deep, raw, real and just about real life. The writers did a phenomenal job tackling these plot lines and everything just flowed together nicely.

The acting was phenomenal. Eloise Mumford...bravo. She was just fantastic in the roll of Joss. I loved her character, I could feel her struggle when she was going through one of her panic attacks. Just fantastic. She truly was the highlight of the movie.

Another thing I really enjoyed was the use of literary references throughout the course of the movie. I appreciated hearing the works of Oscar Wilde and William Wordsworth. Works that often go lost unless you are studying Literature in University. The readings and poetry were well referenced and worked so well throughout the movie. The poetry speech by the daughter at the end of the movie had me in tears.

This movie is definitely one that does not fall into your typical Hallmark style plot. It was so different and tackled much deeper real life, real issues. The love story was secondary to the stories of loss, grief, anxiety and so much more. Even with the more raw stories this was a movie that was not made to depress you. It was one that showed growth, love and moving on. It truly was remarkable and one that should not be missed.
