Review:

"Love In Action" is a brand new Hallmark movie that aired in Canada on February 6, 2022 and then had its USA premiere in May 2022. I did provide my preliminary review back in February albeit I left out any spoilers to avoid giving anything away to my readers from USA. But seeing as it has been release in the US now, let's review again.

Christopher Russell and Cindy Busby have worked together a few times before and have an excellent rapport with each other. Warming Up To You/Love In Action puts them back together and boy do they shine. The chemistry between their characters is lively, funny, electric and just plain works. I absolutely loved them paired together in this and they were well cast in their respective roles. I have to admit that this may just be the best movie that they have done together to date. I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on this. Do you have a favourite movie with them?

Busby plays a fitness expert named Kate Wolfe who is known to whip even top celebrities back into shape. She gets the opportunity to work with Rick Steele (Russell), who is a famous movie star who has let himself go. What follows is a hilarious boot camp filled with exercise, humour, great scenery and electric chemistry between the two leads. Christopher Russell is absolutely endearing in his role as the hot celebrity who let himself go. When I saw him on screen with a little bit of a chubby belly, this was so funny. Yes the belly was a bit ridiculous and noticeably fake but I let that slide. I loved him in this role. Busby isn't my favourite Hallmark actress by any means but she seems to have such a natural chemistry when playing opposite to Christopher Russell. Yes her character is a bit of a fitness freak but she does this well. An overall good performance by her. .

It's different to your regular Hallmark plots and adds some humour and great on screen chemistry. I don't think it's one I will have to watch each year, but it is definitely one that needs to be watched at least once. At least it will give you a few chuckles...especially when you first see Christopher Russell with a beer belly.
