My thoughts on WCTH S9E10
Highlights of the episode for me:
- Rosemary finds out that there is a good chance she is pregnant!! FINALLY! Now if the writers have her lose the child I'm not going to be a happy camper. This needs to happen. On a side note, I don't think Rosemary was right in keeping this happy news from her husband. She tells Elizabeth but not Lee. Not cool.
- Henry's return. This was one of my favourite scenes of the episode. He bursts through the double doors just as the meeting was about to start. Just awesome.
- Henry sitting on that stoop after the slap. I found this scene powerful as you see the weight of the world on his shoulders again. There is obviously something behind why he agreed to this arrangement that no one realizes. Oh how he must feel knowing the pain it is causing the people of HV again.
- Molly stating to Faith that she misses and hardly remembers what it's like having someone take care of her like her late husband used to. TEARS.
- Nathan and Fiona FINALLY have a one-on-one moment! This was amazing and a romantic coupling that I could get behind. They had a comfortableness with each other and she even took his gooey butter cake and ate it. She told him all her worries. When they parted she said “Wish me luck!” In return he said...“Why? You don’t need it. You’re smart.” LOVE IT!
Other happenings:
- Lucas is in jail for a crime we know he didn't commit. Bill gets a call and then we find out that he has an offer for a plea bargain. The person who hit Nathan and Newton was the person who planted the phony evidence in Lucas's office. He wants to be let off for hitting Nathan and in return Lucas will go free. Nathan of course doesn't want to agree to the deal but in the end agrees and Lucas walks free while our Mountie doesn't get the closure he deserves. FYI...Lucas doesn't even thank Nathan for helping him and Elizabeth hugs him and is so grateful for his help in saving her precious Lucas. Ugh.
- Mike again says he isn't cut out to be Mayor. He leaves HV for some time away.
Clearly Bill has something going on health wise. Faith consulted Carson and wants to talk to Bill about it but he brushes her off.
Henry and Smith sit down to talk business about opening the coal mine back up. Henry shakes his hand in agreement that he would help with the coal mine and Fiona would run the oil company.
Fiona is clearly uncomfortable with Arthur Gilchrist. She cringed when he touched her shoulder during the meeting and firmly asserted that he call her Ms. Miller and not Fiona.
