WCTH Season 9 Episode 9 - My Thoughts

My thoughts on WCTH S9E9

Alot happened in E9. Let's start first with Mei and Nathan.

Mei is leaving HV because Jeffrey is still causing problems for her and she needs to go handle that back in Chicago. She doesn't tell Nathan about leaving. He finds out and goes to the saloon where he finds her coming down the stairs ready to get on the stage coach. She explains why she needs to go and without hesitation he offers to go with her. She says no but thanks him. He offers alot of thank yous to her for her help after his accident. She in turn exclaims that her only regret was that she didn't let him catch her on the day that she first rode into town. He says "Yeah, me too." LOVE THIS!!! That came unexpectedly. Nathan watches her get on the stage coach and leave. Intrigued to find out if she comes back this season or if she is a potential love interest. Still not settled on her though for his match.

By the way, we hear, through Molly, that Faith is "carrying a torch" for Nathan. Really...interesting. How convenient then that even before the stage coach dust has settled, Nathan and Faith encounter each other on the boardwalk and have a chat. They talk about ...relationships. It was here that we hear that they both aren't interest in getting married right now. Then, again convenient, Faith has the key to the creamery and they go on a private ice cream date. Honestly, not liking this pairing and hope this is just a tactic to make it appear like she is a love interest for Nathan.

Walden comes back to town with Spurlock. He storms into Lucas' office and says he's going to buy the saloon. Alot of things happen and Bill and Lucas try to one up Walden and set him up. Not sure why their scheme doesn't involve the Mountie until much later. Long story short, Wyman has a suitcase full of money, he hands it to Bill and Nathan comes out of the office with a rifle. Bill arrests Wyman while Nathan, who is shot at by Spurlock, goes on a fantastic chase. This was probably the best part of the episode. We see Nathan in full Mountie action doing some expert rifle tricks, and then he catches his man.

The next day Nathan finds some evidence in Lucas's office which lands Lucas in jail. How does he know that there is some ledgers showing illegal activity??? Well of course Wyman told Bill about it. Not sure why they would actually believe Wyman but...nevertheless Lucas lands in jail.

Other stories that were shown albeit not emphasized enough in this episode: 1. Fiona is back but Henry isn't.

2. Hickham states that he wants to resign as mayor.

3. Joseph needs help at the cafe as Minnie and Angela are on a trip.

4. Joseph finds out that his loan was accept because Lee co-signed and didn't tell him. He confronts Lee.

5. Fiona is a bit apprehensive about Mr. Gilchrist coming to HV.
