My thoughts on WCTH S9E11
Here's what happened in HV this week:
A bunch of stuff with the mine and business deals. Frankly I find the whole plot line boring and confusing. But anyway the best part was Henry wasn't happy with Smith going behind his back and bribing the man who Henry talked to about the safety of the mine, so Henry blew up the mine.
Honestly the most interesting part of the episode was Nathan's. Nathan entered the pharmacy and seemed excited as he thought Mei might be there. Instead he finds Faith and cracks a joke that she laughs at. He seems happy that she laughed at his corny joke. Anyway they talk about Mei and apparently she sent a letter to Nathan saying she was safe. He admits that Mei is still a mystery to him. Next time you see Nathan he is in the infirmary with Faith and apparently he has been suffering from headaches. Wait what? No indication ever since his accident that he has suffered from headaches. In fact we saw him multiple times in the episode before this scene and he was perfectly fine. Headache or not, it doesn't seem to stop Nathan and faith from having some serious flirty moments and googly eyes between the two of them. Still not feeling this match-up but "À chacun son goût."
So before continuing with Nathan moments, it's important to note that Carson calls Faith and we are to assume they speak as this is not shown. Anyway Bill and Nathan have a conversation about relationships while Molly and Faith also have a similar conversation. It is written so that we are to believe that each couple are referring to the other however I don't know what we are to believe. At this point in my viewing world I will not assume I know that Molly is referring to Bill and vice versa nor will I dream of thinking that Nathan is speaking about Faith while Faith is thinking about Nathan. Who knows. Nathan could in fact be referring to Mei and Faith could be thinking about Nathan and/or Carson. Only time will tell. Other happenings in HV:
- Ned apparently invented an automatic toaster. Not sure why this was even part of the show as it didn't really have any impact to any story line. Besides, what happened to the bandaid patent?
- Florence used to do ballet and tried her hand at it again. Yawn.
- Allie is now helping Robert with the mail delivery on the tandem bike.
- Hickham is back in HV. - Arthur Gilchrist actually doesn't appear to be as bad as he seemed to be. He and Fiona did have dinner and appeared to be on more civilized terms by the time he left HV after the mine blew up. I actually like him. Would like to see more of him.
- Elizabeth and Rosemary had a day of beauty. They ended up being dressed similarly at the end and I found this a bit ridiculous. Just a bunch of filler that I found unnecessary.
- Rosemary still hasn't told Lee about being pregnant which I do not like.
- Minnie and Angela return and she has a letter for Joseph from her dad which is about money. They end up arguing which I did not like
- Bill is really showing signs that he is not well. I'm getting concerned for him. I really like his character.
- Flo is not happy seeing signs for the coal mine up and rips them off the posts. I really love Ned in this episode as he really supports his wife.
