WCTH Season 9 Episode 7 - My Thoughts

My thoughts on WCTH S9E7

I am finding the will to write reviews on each episode to be diminishing significantly during season 9. Quite frankly not much is happening in Hope Valley. It's really boring and not like it used to be. Once again season 7 was less than stellar and honestly...nothing happened. I'll resort to simply giving a synopsis of what "happened" in episode 7.

  • Hickham declares this week that HV will have their first annual Hope Valley Days. It will include celebrations like Thanksgiving, Hannukah, Halloween, Valentine's Day and April Fools. By the way, I'm not liking how Lee is still not behind the mayor. It's not enough that he wrote an article about him, but now in the streets wants to leave because he doesn't like the new mayor. Grow up. You lost. Move on.

  • Hickham thanks Nathan for closing the streets and calls him Constable. Bill mutters "Forensic Investigator." Um...did Nathan get a promotion that we weren't told about? Wouldn't surprise me as this is something good for Nathan but why would we want to see that? Aren't we only allowed to see the bad stuff happen to our Mountie?

  • Lee and Rosemary dress up like Mark Antony and Cleopatra and spend all their time at the newspaper again. Yawn. So tired of seeing my favourite couple spend all their time and effort on the newspaper. I want to see a story about them!

  • Jeffrey Lewis storms into Bill's office and states his wife Mei needs to be arrested. Bill knocks him unconscious and rolls him out of his office in a wheel barrel after he warns him about his behaviour a few times.

  • Nathan determines there are arrest warrants for Mei for larceny, forgery and spousal abandonment. He's upset.

  • Ned and Flo ask Mei to stay on as the permanent pharmacist. Mei is excited.

  • Mei finds out Jeffrey is in town and needs a moment to collect her thoughts.

  • Faith asks Hickam for an xray machine. Hickham says he can't and offers a half decent moment of advice. Hey...he can be an adult and not just a goof sometimes.

  • Faith checks Bill and thinks he may have pneumonia and tells him to go get a chest xray in the city.

  • Nathan asks Elizabeth for driving lessons. After she bombards him with technical information about driving, he gets out of the car and quickly states that it was best that they didn't get together and wants Lucas to teach him.

  • Joseph and Minnie try to get a loan at the bank and are denied. Lee makes a phone call, without them knowing, and then they get the loan after all. Uh oh...I'm thinking the Canfields won't like this piece of info when they figure out they didn't get the loan on their own.

  • Bill finds a marriage license signed by Mei. She says it's a forgery. Bill lets Jeffrey out of jail. Mei tells Jeffrey to leave her alone.

  • Ned holds a Hanukkah celebration at the saloon. Wait..Ned is Jewish?

  • Faith burns the infirmary sign after the pep talk with Mike. She is going to go all in with her practice.

For me...totally boring week with nothing moving forward in any story line.

Did you enjoy this episode? What were your favourite parts?
