When Calls The Heart - Season 7 - My Thoughts - Fiona Miller

Category: I Want More!

What: Fiona Miller

It is clear from the first moment she graces the screen that Fiona isn't your average ýsome advice from Carson, she built up the courage to call and confront her boss. That took guts. I personally would have liked to have heard more of this conversation. Her determination to not be treated like crap was a bold move. Yes she was fired but she did what she wanted for herself. She now has the ability to do whatever she wants and I just hope she finds something in Hope Valley that keeps her there.

Very quickly you see Fiona integrate into the world of Hope Valley and not only is she unique, but she quickly turns into a ģ and ģ for many people.vvģ

For me Fiona is a welcome change. She is witty, confident and states her mind. She is a breath of fresh air. The problem though, is that there isn't any real story for her at present and she needs to be used more. Too much focus in the show is placed on other stories and there are many missed opportunities with Fiona, and quite frankly with many other supporting characters in Hope Valley.

So far Fiona has had smaller plot lines: setting up the phone system, being a confidant and trainer for Flo, mild flirting with Kevin, but no real meaty stories. What about her background? Her family? How did she become so independent? How difficult was it for her to get herself into the role of a technician? So much that needs to be explored.
